They have received numerous awards for design and construction and were presented with the “Award of Excellence” by So Cal Gas for recognition in producing highly energy efficient homes featuring built-in comfort, quality and energy savings.

Vellum owner Paul Abbott was raised in the construction and design industry of Palm Springs and followed in his father’s footsteps as a contractor. After graduating from Cal Poly’s prestigious School of Architecture and Environmental Design, Paul worked in San Francisco for a national design builder managing high-rise residential and commercial projects before returning to the Central Coast and starting Vellum in 2003.
